VETERINARY MEDICINE – TRANSFER PROGRAM
Associate of Science - 2 years
The courses listed below represent the most common courses required before admission to a school or college of veterinary medicine; however
the requirements for admission to every program vary. It is important to check with your advisor as well as the potential schools of transfer for
specific courses needed before admission.
A student may apply to a school or college of veterinary medicine once the school’s program admission requirements are met, which often
includes a qualifying score on the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Admission to a veterinary
school is very competitive. Although it may take only 2-3 years to complete the admission requirements, the trend is for accepted applicant s
to complete a Bachelor’s degree before entering the professional school.
