Clinical education providers reserve the right to impose additional requirements at any time to ensure the safety of patients, employees,
and students.
Students participating in clinical education are not employees of a clinical education provider or of the college and therefore are not
covered by Workman’s Compensation insurance. It is highly recommended that students maintain personal health insurance when
enrolled in an educational program.
1. Students will be required to undergo a physical examination, immunizations, a drug screen, criminal background check prior to the start
of clinical placement. Clinical facilities reserve the right to require a repeat of these requirements during clinical placement.
2. Histories of misdemeanor and/or felony conviction or past abuse may make a student ineligible to meet clinical requirements and may
be ineligible to complete the MRI certification exam. Students with a conviction will also be required to submit a pre-application to the
American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) to determine eligibility to compete the MRI certification exam earning nationally
recognized professional credential. For more information, visit the ARRT website at www.arrt.org.
3. Students are required to maintain certification in Healthcare Provider CPR according to MRI Program policies.
4. Students are required to adhere to all MRI Program Policies found in the MiRIS Student handbook.
Safety Statement:

Please review the safety screening form for a list of possible contraindications. If you have any questions, please contact the program
director.
